Alya Sometimes Hides Her Feelings in Russian Gets a Second Season https://aniwe.net/2024/09/20/alya-sometimes-hides-her-feelings-in-russian-gets-a-second-season/ https://aniwe.net/2024/09/20/alya-sometimes-hides-her-feelings-in-russian-gets-a-second-season/#respond Fri, 20 Sep 2024 10:30:05 +0000 https://aniwe.net/?p=3273 Following the first season’s success, Kadokawa revealed that Sunsunsun and Momoco’s popular series Alya, which sometimes hides her feelings in Russian, will be getting a second season. The announcement was made public with a special video announcement.

Check out the Video Below:

Everything We Know About Alya Sometimes Hides Her Feelings in Russian Season 2

As mentioned earlier, Kadokawa has greenlit the production of the second season of Alya Sometimes Hides Her Feelings in Russian. The news didn’t surprise many, as the series had won the hearts of fans with its quirky story. However, no precise release date or time has been made available.

The first season ran from July 3rd to Wednesday, September 18th. Fans can still watch the popular anime on Crunchyroll, available in dub and Sub. While not much is known about the season 2 cast, many believe it will reprise the same core characters. This includes Sumire Uesaka, who stars as Alisa “Alya” Mikhailovna Kujō, Kōhei Amasaki as Masachika Kuse, Yukiyo Fujii as Maria “Masha” Mikhailovna Kujō, and Wakana Maruoka as Yuki Suō, among many others.

As for staff, Ryota Itoh directed the first season at Doga Kobo and was also in charge of the series scripts. Yūhei Murota handled character design and also served as the animation director. Ryo Kobayashi was the series producer, Hiroaki Tsutsumi composed the music, and Risa Wakabayashi was the art director.

Yen Press releases the novel in English and describes the series as follows: “Alisa Mikhailovna Kujou is Seiren Private Academy’s solitary princess. She’s a half-Russian beauty with silver hair, at the top of her class, a student council accountant, and…completely unapproachable. For some reason, she’s also been responsible for reprimanding the slacker who sits next to her in class. Masachika Kuze constantly frustrates her by falling asleep, forgetting his textbooks, and being an overall unexemplary student. Or at least, that’s how it looks from the outside.”

The synopsis continues, “She may put on a tough act, but she doesn’t mind Masachika as much as others would think. She even lets him call her by her nickname, Alya. Anyone hearing the comments she mutters in Russian under her breath might know how she really feels, but since none of her classmates understand the language, she’s free to say whatever she likes! Except there is one person who knows what she’s saying. Masachika eavesdrops on her embarrassing revelations, pretending to be clueless while wondering what her flirtatious comments actually mean!”

April Awesomeness Recap

  1. AKAT April: New Challengers Rise and Trivia Champions Clash!

AKAT in April was an action-packed month of anime trivia! Familiar faces battled it out for trivia glory while some new heroes (maybe a villain or two) emerged from the shadows to challenge the established champions.

  • Death Note: Newcomer Takes the Notebook!

Light Yagami (assuming it wasn’t Ryuk controlling someone’s account) must be sweating! A new challenger named KayyaRT seized the Death Note this month, showing mastery of the rules and the power to control trivia destinies. Watch out, L, there’s a new detective in town with a perfect score! Izzy and Kukuruku had a good fight, but their names weren’t written in the trivia notebook this time.

  • Vinland Saga: Deen Maintains his Viking Rule!

Move over, Thorfinn! Deen claimed the throne once again in Vinland Saga, crushing the competition with the ferocity of a Viking warrior. Kayy, a first-time podium finisher, proved their knowledge is as sharp as an axe and landed a solid second place. Kukuruku maintained her podium streak with a third-place finish, showing that consistency is a valuable weapon in the trivia arena.

  • My Hero Academia: Shot By Chuka Goes Full Detroit Smash!

Plus Ultra! Shot By Chuka went full Detroit Smash on the competition this month, leaving everyone else in the dust. Looks like his aim is just as good with trivia questions as it is with a sniper rifle. Al-Might, a newcomer, showed he still has some hero spirit and snagged a respectable second place. Izzy channelled her inner Deku to secure third place.

  • Bleach: A New Soul Reaper Takes the Stage!

We had a change of guard in Soul Society! Yato TV emerged victorious, pushing familiar faces like Wrath and Insanoflex (a first-time podium finisher!) down to second and third place, respectively. Looks like the tides are turning in the Bleach trivia universe!

  • Jujutsu Kaisen: Newcomer Upsets Shot By Chuka!

The world of Jujutsu Kaisen witnessed a shocking upset! Mikun, a first-time podium contender, dominated the competition with an impressive score. Shot By Chuka, who usually reigns supreme, couldn’t keep up with the new kid on the block. IzzyTheOne secured a well-deserved third place.

  • Naruto Shippuden: IzzyTheOne Claims the Hokage Hat!

There’s a new Hokage in town! IzzyTheOne rose to the top of the Naruto Shippuden leaderboard, amassing a massive point total. After a string of third-place finishes, Kukuruku upgraded to second place, answering the most questions but falling short on speed. Yato TV followed closely behind in third place.

  • Demon Slayer: IzzyTheOne Continues Reign of Terror!

Looks like there’s no stopping IzzyTheOne this month! She dominated Demon Slayer as well, answering many questions correctly. Voldemort (hopefully not the real one) came in second, proving that even dark wizards can appreciate some trivia fun. Nezuko rounded out the top three with a strong showing.

  • One Piece: IzzyTheOne Maintains One Piece Lead!

IzzyTheOne’s dominance continued in One Piece, securing first place again and demonstrating a deep understanding of the world and its characters. King Jaybee and Renee fought well, taking second and third place, respectively.

  • IzzyTheOne: The Undisputed Trivia Champion?

It’s worth noting that IzzyTheOne was a force to be reckoned with throughout April, landing an impressive six out of seven on the podium, even claiming first place in three competitions! With this consistency, IzzyTheOne is a trivia champion to watch out for in the coming months.

Stay tuned for more exciting AKAT battles and see if IzzyTheOne can maintain their reign or if new challengers will rise to the trivia throne!

In the third week, Player キラの死16 still clinched an aggregate of 24 to triumph over 49 other players.

In the 4th week, however, he was dethroned. Player: Star Cr, who came in second place during the 2nd and 3rd week, emerged the winner with a total aggregate of 30 points. No one saw this coming; it was a fantastic April tournament.

THE PAST – FEBRUARY

1. AKAT: AniWe’s Kahoot Anime Trivia (A Battle Royale of Brains!)

In February and March, the AniWe Community felt bubbly, so we held AKAT sessions for Hunter-X-Hunter (HxH), Attack on Titan (AoT), Naruto, Demon Slayer, One Punch Man, Jujutsu Kaisen (JJK), Bleach, FullMetal Alchemist (FMA) Naruto Shippuden, Dragon Ball Z. It was a frenzy; the update of the winners is in the GIF below.

Calling all anime fanatics! Buckle up because the AniWe Kahoot Anime Trivia (AKAT) went down like a super saiyan brawl this month! We saw legendary comebacks, shocking upsets, and rivalries that would make even Naruto and Sasuke blush.

  • Hunter X Hunter (HxH): A the_Sahmmy Surprise!
This month’s HxH showdown was a nail-biter! The_sahmmy emerged victorious, proving that even stay-at-home parents can be anime trivia champions.  (Cue dramatic music) But wait! There’s more! Dammielarey snagged second place, leaving Zoro’s wife (whoever she is!) to settle for third. Dharmora and Aphrodite rounded out the top 5, but let’s be honest; they were probably too busy simping over Killua to focus on the trivia.
  • Attack on Titan (AoT): Deen Crushes the Competition (Literally)
Deen absolutely obliterated the competition in AoT!  (Imagine a colossal titan breaking the wall)  Bloodline X and Manx could only watch in awe as Deen claimed the top spot, followed by Bloodline X and Manx. The Blacksmith and Your Boss brought up the rear, but hey, at least they participated, right?

2. Debate Dojo

Two topics were discussed in February:

  • “Which Anime World would You like Most Like to Live In?”
  • “Can You be a True Anime Fan If You Haven’t see the Classics?”

During the first discussion, we quickly learned that while most of the community loves the heroes who sacrifice everything for their loved ones in our favorite anime, many members of the AniWe community want to live a soft life and only want fun-filled worlds like Food Wars. For obvious reasons, no one wanted anything to do with the Attack on Titan or Demon Slayer universes.

The co-hosts had similar choices:

  • Sayo (burningCrixus) —– Pokemon Trainer in the Pokemon Universe,
  • Ife —– Food Wars universe.

The Gatekeepers brought out their Shinobi katanas for the second discussion, only for us to realize many hadn’t watched all the anime considered classics. At AniWe, we are all about partying with all shades of anime lovers, so if you have seen at least two anime (including a classic), we consider you a fan and a friend.

3. Trivia

In February, our Trivia winners were:

  • @tonydatjoker with a whooping 14 points —- Won a pack of stickers, a poster, and an AniWe T-shirt
  • 1st runner-up is @akamnonumikaelson, with 10 points —- Won a pack of stickers, a poster, and a choice necklace.
  • 2nd runner-up is @saiki_big_simp with 9 points —- Won a pack of stickers and a poster.

THE PAST – MARCH MADNESS

1. AKAT: AniWe’s Kahoot Anime Trivia

  • Naruto and Naruto Shippuden: A Tale of Two Deens
Naruto saw a surprising upset! Manx, the previous underdog, clawed his way to the top this time around. Deen, dethroned but not defeated, secured a respectable second place. The Blacksmith continued his impressive streak with a solid third, while Bloodline and Your Boss (is this a duo or something?) took fourth and fifth.

Naruto Shippuden, however, witnessed Deen’s glorious return! He reclaimed his throne, leaving Shot By Chuka (did he run out of bullets?) in second place. The7thhohake emerged from the shadows to snag third, pushing Renee and Kahoota down to fourth and fifth.
  • Demon Slayer: A Bloody Good Showing!
This month’s Demon Slayer battle was a close call! Shot By Chuka unleashed her inner demon slayer, answering a whopping 84% of the questions correctly to take first place. HeralDKing followed closely behind with 76%, proving they’re a formidable opponent. Sasuke Babadens wasn’t too far behind at 70%, but Bloodline and Kdp3ng trailed slightly.
  • One-Punch Man: HeralDKing Punches Back to the Top!
The tables turned in One-Punch Man! HeralDKing, dethroned in Demon Slayer, rose like a phoenix to claim the top spot with 84% accuracy. The_sahmmy and Kdp3ng tied for second with 78% each, but Kdp3ng was a hair slower on the buzzer. Bloodline held onto fourth, while Shot By Chuka, who dominated Demon Slayer, fell to a surprising fifth.
  • Bleach and Jujutsu Kaisen (JJK): Kings and Queens Toppled!

Bleach saw a new king rise! King Jegz, with his vast knowledge of Soul Reapers and Zanpakuto, dominated the competition. HeralDKing, used to wearing the crown, had to settle for second place. But wait, there’s more! Saiki, the psychic wonder child, defied expectations and snatched third place, leaving the previous King Jegz, fuming in fourth. Halley and Dammielarey rounded out the top 5.
JJK, however, witnessed Saiki’s ultimate triumph! Upgrading from Bleach’s third place, Saiki secured the top spot in JJK. Archieizzy surprised everyone with a strong second-place finish. But the real shocker was Shot By Chuka emerging from the shadows to claim third! King Jegz, dethroned once again, fell to fourth, with Halley at fifth. Interestingly, HeralDKing, who was a top contender in Bleach, fell all the way to sixth in JJK. Seems his reign of terror is finally over!
  • Fullmetal Alchemist (FMA): HeralDKing Reclaims the Mantle!
FMA saw HeralDKing rise from the ashes, much like Edward Elric! He dominated the competition with his knowledge of alchemy, taking first place. Lvrdfrancis followed closely behind with a well-deserved second. Archieizzy, continuing his impressive streak, secured third place. DonDaDa and Dharmora brought up the rear, but hey, at least they know who the Fullmetal Alchemist is now, right?
  • Dragon Ball Z: Shot By Chuka Goes Super Saiyan!
Our final battle, a tribute to the legendary Akira Toriyama, was a Dragon Ball Z extravaganza! Shot By Chuka,

The Debate Rages On! Last month’s Debate Dojo was on fire. On March 2nd, the community explored the impact of fan service on anime quality. Fans clashed over whether Madara or Sukuna would emerge victorious in an epic showdown.

AniWe Update

January 2024 Recap and Upcoming Events

Hey Aniwe Members!

I am the AniWe Novachrono (The Time Lord),

Welcome to February! We’ve got a bunch of exciting updates, events, and highlights from the anime and gaming world to share with you. Whether you’re a seasoned otaku, a hardcore gamer, or someone looking to explore new interests, there’s something for everyone in our vibrant community.

Yeah, January seemed so long and We did a lot. Let’s take a recap:

  • AniWe Kahoot:

We had two Kahoots between the 12th and 13th of January and Bags! It was interesting! Well, they say the devil is in the details, let’s dive in. On Friday, we had JJK (41 questions – 15 participants) and Bleach (61 questions – 8 participants), while on Saturday, we had Death Note (60 questions – 18 participants) and Naruto (660 questions – 17 participants). January’s Kahoot was intense because we had participants scoring as high as 26,073 points. To see the breakdown of the winners, Check below.

You definitely don’t want to miss February’s, who knows you might just be the winner of our prizes.

  • AniWe Debate Dojo Clash:

We held a two and half hours debate on the 20th of January, hosted by community leaders “Tanwa and Sayo”. The topic was “Old Gen Anime VS New Gen Anime.” The heated conversation among the community members on X eventually led to a poll, with 90% voting for Old Gen Anime. Voters used the unique world and character building of the Old Gen to tackle the topnotch video quality of the New Gen. If you have reservations concerning that take, you’re not alone

You don’t want to miss this month’s Debate Dojos. The topics are under the events for next month, Check it out!

  • Anime Trivia:

This month’s trivia turned out to be a hard nut to crack for community members. Should we say we are getting too tough or our members are slacking on their Anime journey? Hmm. The Trivia went on for one hour and had community leaders Tanwa and Ife as hosts. The highest streak was just 3 points from Akamnonu Micheal.

Going forward, we will provide the topics so you can prepare adequately. Check out the upcoming topics in the Upcoming Events Section.
