Alya Sometimes Hides Her Feelings in Russian Gets a Second Season

Alya Sometimes Hides Her Feelings in Russian

Following the first season’s success, Kadokawa revealed that Sunsunsun and Momoco’s popular series Alya, which sometimes hides her feelings in Russian, will be getting a second season. The announcement was made public with a special video announcement.

Check out the Video Below:

Everything We Know About Alya Sometimes Hides Her Feelings in Russian Season 2

As mentioned earlier, Kadokawa has greenlit the production of the second season of Alya Sometimes Hides Her Feelings in Russian. The news didn’t surprise many, as the series had won the hearts of fans with its quirky story. However, no precise release date or time has been made available.

The first season ran from July 3rd to Wednesday, September 18th. Fans can still watch the popular anime on Crunchyroll, available in dub and Sub. While not much is known about the season 2 cast, many believe it will reprise the same core characters. This includes Sumire Uesaka, who stars as Alisa “Alya” Mikhailovna Kujō, Kōhei Amasaki as Masachika Kuse, Yukiyo Fujii as Maria “Masha” Mikhailovna Kujō, and Wakana Maruoka as Yuki Suō, among many others.

As for staff, Ryota Itoh directed the first season at Doga Kobo and was also in charge of the series scripts. Yūhei Murota handled character design and also served as the animation director. Ryo Kobayashi was the series producer, Hiroaki Tsutsumi composed the music, and Risa Wakabayashi was the art director.

Yen Press releases the novel in English and describes the series as follows: “Alisa Mikhailovna Kujou is Seiren Private Academy’s solitary princess. She’s a half-Russian beauty with silver hair, at the top of her class, a student council accountant, and…completely unapproachable. For some reason, she’s also been responsible for reprimanding the slacker who sits next to her in class. Masachika Kuze constantly frustrates her by falling asleep, forgetting his textbooks, and being an overall unexemplary student. Or at least, that’s how it looks from the outside.”

The synopsis continues, “She may put on a tough act, but she doesn’t mind Masachika as much as others would think. She even lets him call her by her nickname, Alya. Anyone hearing the comments she mutters in Russian under her breath might know how she really feels, but since none of her classmates understand the language, she’s free to say whatever she likes! Except there is one person who knows what she’s saying. Masachika eavesdrops on her embarrassing revelations, pretending to be clueless while wondering what her flirtatious comments actually mean!”

AniWe Update: May Mayhem

Hey there, Novachrono welcomes you to the May edition of the AniWe Newsletter! Who’s ready to experience May Mayhem?

As we step into the blooming month of May, we have an exciting Cascade of events, news, and updates for all anime and gaming enthusiasts.

April Awesomeness Recap

  1. AKAT April: New Challengers Rise and Trivia Champions Clash!

AKAT in April was an action-packed month of anime trivia! Familiar faces battled it out for trivia glory while some new heroes (maybe a villain or two) emerged from the shadows to challenge the established champions.

  • Death Note: Newcomer Takes the Notebook!

Light Yagami (assuming it wasn’t Ryuk controlling someone’s account) must be sweating! A new challenger named KayyaRT seized the Death Note this month, showing mastery of the rules and the power to control trivia destinies. Watch out, L, there’s a new detective in town with a perfect score! Izzy and Kukuruku had a good fight, but their names weren’t written in the trivia notebook this time.

  • Vinland Saga: Deen Maintains his Viking Rule!

Move over, Thorfinn! Deen claimed the throne once again in Vinland Saga, crushing the competition with the ferocity of a Viking warrior. Kayy, a first-time podium finisher, proved their knowledge is as sharp as an axe and landed a solid second place. Kukuruku maintained her podium streak with a third-place finish, showing that consistency is a valuable weapon in the trivia arena.

  • My Hero Academia: Shot By Chuka Goes Full Detroit Smash!

Plus Ultra! Shot By Chuka went full Detroit Smash on the competition this month, leaving everyone else in the dust. Looks like his aim is just as good with trivia questions as it is with a sniper rifle. Al-Might, a newcomer, showed he still has some hero spirit and snagged a respectable second place. Izzy channelled her inner Deku to secure third place.

  • Bleach: A New Soul Reaper Takes the Stage!

We had a change of guard in Soul Society! Yato TV emerged victorious, pushing familiar faces like Wrath and Insanoflex (a first-time podium finisher!) down to second and third place, respectively. Looks like the tides are turning in the Bleach trivia universe!

  • Jujutsu Kaisen: Newcomer Upsets Shot By Chuka!

The world of Jujutsu Kaisen witnessed a shocking upset! Mikun, a first-time podium contender, dominated the competition with an impressive score. Shot By Chuka, who usually reigns supreme, couldn’t keep up with the new kid on the block. IzzyTheOne secured a well-deserved third place.

  • Naruto Shippuden: IzzyTheOne Claims the Hokage Hat!

There’s a new Hokage in town! IzzyTheOne rose to the top of the Naruto Shippuden leaderboard, amassing a massive point total. After a string of third-place finishes, Kukuruku upgraded to second place, answering the most questions but falling short on speed. Yato TV followed closely behind in third place.

  • Demon Slayer: IzzyTheOne Continues Reign of Terror!

Looks like there’s no stopping IzzyTheOne this month! She dominated Demon Slayer as well, answering many questions correctly. Voldemort (hopefully not the real one) came in second, proving that even dark wizards can appreciate some trivia fun. Nezuko rounded out the top three with a strong showing.

  • One Piece: IzzyTheOne Maintains One Piece Lead!

IzzyTheOne’s dominance continued in One Piece, securing first place again and demonstrating a deep understanding of the world and its characters. King Jaybee and Renee fought well, taking second and third place, respectively.

  • IzzyTheOne: The Undisputed Trivia Champion?

It’s worth noting that IzzyTheOne was a force to be reckoned with throughout April, landing an impressive six out of seven on the podium, even claiming first place in three competitions! With this consistency, IzzyTheOne is a trivia champion to watch out for in the coming months.

Stay tuned for more exciting AKAT battles and see if IzzyTheOne can maintain their reign or if new challengers will rise to the trivia throne!
